The windows of the hotel are lowered to bed level or the other way so that moving ships can be viewed without standing up in the bed. Sea-food is their specialty.

Born in a storm, matured in rivalry and established during colonization this Queen on Arabian sea has many a story to silently narrate. From time immemorial it has been the favorite destination of Globe trotters and explorers. Several sites of innumerable value like - Jewish Synagogue, Dutch Palace, Mattamcherry market, Chinese fishing nets, Jew town worth a visit.

Last fifteen days in Kerala implanted nostalgia in Mr. Tharoor. When we reached airport, CIAL (Cochin International Airport Limited) company’s Public Relations Officer invited for showing facilities arranged by them for the traveling public. It was a blessing in disguise for him to prepare for departure.

He penned down some words in the front page of the book Gods Own Country written by Mr. Tharoor, sketched/painted by Mr. M.F. Hussain and published by Department of Tourism. Saying thanks he simply handed over the book to me. He said good-bye and proceeded to the aircraft. I am happy that he had a worthwhile vacation in his homeland.
